For those of you who are not from a Chinese background might not know what a Confinement Nanny is. A Confinement Nanny is someone who helps take care of you and the baby during your confinement period. (The month after you give birth) This is a very common practice amongst Asians because we believe how well-rested you are and how well you are taken care of effects the rest of your life. (Yes you read correctly - the rest of your life!) So needless to say, we regard the confinement period as a very crucial time.
